- What is Instant Murals Design Dry Rub Tranfers / Tatouage?
The short answer is a fun and extremely easy, and low cost new way to give your walls a custom look! The long answer is: An thin, paint-like dry rub wall transfer that is created using an extremely high resolution image of original artwork. The detail is so amazing that you can see all the brush strokes from the original artwork. The design is printed on to a transfer sheet, then an adhesive layer is applied over the outline of the design. A protective backing sheet is placed over the transfer until you are ready to apply to your surface. This design can be used on most hard surfaces, although is not recommended for areas of high heat or frequent water contact. This is an amazingly easy do it yourself project, your kids can even help you design the room and apply the transfers.

- Can dry rub transfer / tatouage wall designs be used in a bathroom, kitchen or around water?
Although Instant Murals dry rub transfer / tatouage may be used in kitchens and bathrooms, they are not waterproof and should not be used in areas of frequent direct water contact. If you do use them in a high moisture area, we would recommend spraying a very light coat of non-yellowing acrylic sealer. Apply the sealer per the manufacturers instructions.

- Can I clean the designs?
Yes, you may clean the designs by gently wiping the area with a gentle non-abrasive cleaner and sponge. Avoid hard scrubbing and harsh cleansers which may damage the design.

- Can Instant Murals be used on fabric?
The designs will transfer to some fabrics and work well to create custom canvas style pictures and in applications where the fabric will not move. Instant Murals dry rub transfers / tatouage are not recommended for use on fabric that will move, bend or need to be washed. - Can the dry rub transfer / tatouage designs be used outdoors?
Although not recommended, the designs can be used outdoors following the proper preparation & application techniques. You would need to follow with several light coats of a protective clear sealer. Environmental elements such as sand, salt, moisture and sun exposure may affect the durability of the design and you should reapply sealer periodically to your transfer designs to prolong the life.

Yes, applying dry rub transfers to mirrors, glass and tile surfaces is a great way to customize a room or create unique accent pieces. To apply, ensure area is clean and completely dry before application. Additional rubbing may be necessary to ensure the design releases from the paper. Matte finish spray sealers (non-yellowing) may be used to prepare the surface, utilizing a blade to remove any overspray.
