Creating unique and fun accessories With Instant Mural Designs, it is so easy to create a fun accessory for a fraction of the cost of the cost of buying one. Here are some fun and easy to do ideas to get the creative juices flowing!
Lampshade We love the Pottery Barn Teens beddingTM so much we created a lampshade to match. We used the bright blue, light blue and light green dots to create this look. 1) Purchase a solid lampshade, and your choice of accessory fringe, if so desired at the local craft shop 2) Pick out the design and colors you want on your shade. 3) Cut the designs apart, and then place around your shade as desired. Since the shade is a softer surface, we recommend that you use a small block, book or other small surface on the underside of the shade so you have something to rub against. 4) Using a glue gun, attach the fringe to the bottom of the lampshade. You can also put some around the top if desired. 5) Attach to the base, plug it in, turn on and enjoy! |  |
| | Drawers, shelf or other wood products We created this fun project using an unfinished three drawer wood shelf from the craft store. 1) Purchase the desired piece at the local - 2) Sand the wood with a fine sandpaper, then wipe off the dust.
- 3) Paint as desired, we used the matte spray paint on this unit but you can use a brush and paint as well.
- 4) Optional step, but to get a great finish we recommend another light sanding, and a second coat of paint
- 5) Pick out the Instant Murals Designs that you want, cut the sheets apart and have fun applying to the drawer.
- 6) Spray a few coats of non-yellowing acrylic sealer to protect all your hard work.
- 7) Then sit back and admire your handiwork!
